给予我一张太阳的照片

Make me a picture of the sun—

So I can hang it in my room—

And make believe Im getting warm

When others call it “Day”！

Draw me a Robin—on a stem—

So I am hearing him， Ill dream，

And when the Orchards stop their tune—

Put my pretense—away—

Say if its really—warm at noon—

Whether its Buttercups—that “skim”—

Or Butterflies—that “bloom”？

Then—skip—the frost—upon the lea—

And skip the Russet—on the tree—

Lets play those—never come！

給予我一张太阳的照片——

因此我能把它挂在我房间——

而当其他人称为“日子”的时候

假装我正在得到很温暖的阳光！

给我画一只知更鸟——站在树枝上

于是我会倾听他在我梦乡，

而当果树林停止它们的歌唱——

抛弃我所有的——伪装

说真实与否——暖在午间——

到底它是毛茛——“掠过”——

还是蝴蝶树——“开花”？

然后——略过——霜——在牧草地上——

并略过树上的——苹果——

让我们玩弄那些——虚幻世界！
